Tony Carson is a newcomer on the IRT and had an impressive showing in Chicago at the 2008 Motorola Pro Nationals presented by Verizon Wireless pushing Jason Thoerner in the round of 32. Tony is currently attending the University of Colorado at Pueblo and playing on the school's racquetball team. Carson recently won the 2008 USAR Intercollegiate Racquetball Championships in Kansas City defeating one of the IRT's other young rookie's Anthony Herrera in the final giving Tony his first national title. Look for great things from Carson on the IRT next season.

November 25, 2007 - Greg Sheffield, the mastermind behind the racquetball scene at LA Fitness lost his battle with cancer. Greg was the real reason that racquetball has thrived and grown imensely at all the LA Fitness clubs around the country. His desire and passion for the sport has helped with the resergence of the sport of racquetball over the past few years. He will be deeply missed and our thoughts and prayers go out to Greg’s family and the LA Fitness family. A memorial fund has been established to help support Greg’s wife and daughters - Linda, Haley and Holly.
