Structure of the IRT

Chicago IL - The International Racquetball Tour, widely recognized as the innovative leader in the racquetball industry, is a 501c7 non-profit entity. The IRT converted to a 501c7 corporation in May of 2001 and is managed by a board of directors consisting of a Commissioner, Dave Negrete, 3 players and 3 outside directors.

The current Board Of Directors as of September 2007 are Dave Negrete Leo Klimaitis, Rich Donnelly, Eric Muller, player rep Shane Vanderson and 2006-7 sesaon ending number one ranked Jack Huczek and number two ranked Jason Mannino.

It was important for an entrepreneurial spirit to be preserved in order to rebuild the tour and make it a viable marketing venue for both racquetball manufacturers and outside the industry sponsors. Having accomplished this, it is IRT's and the players belief that it was in the best interest of professional racquetball and the IRT's continued success that the tour be converted to a more sustainable entity not as reliant a few key individuals. The new structure has provided the professional players with more input in the management of the tour as 3 of the 7 board members will be represented by players.
